Is Hydraulic Intensifiers a Good Choice for Your System Design?

Hydraulic intensifiers deliver high amounts of pressure from low-pressure hydraulic sources. Intensifiers convert fluid energies to higher pressures by using lower-pressure hydraulic sources. The hydraulic intensifier uses less energy while inputting pressure and converts the fluid energies back into higher pressures at the output When this action is performed, the laws of thermodynamics remain unchanged. Hydraulic intensifier is also called as hydraulic booster.

The operation is driven by a pump operated by a low pressure hydraulic source. The operation of the pump is set to a certain pressure and from here the booster produces an increased output pressure. Its use can usually be seen in hydraulic power packs.
The intensifier is compact and easy to install. They are available in built-in models, which match standard pipe clamps used in industry, CETOP models, flanged models and cartridge amplifiers. Despite the compact design, all the necessary high pressure check valves are integrated.
There are several hydraulic booster models that can be used for currents from 0.3 gpm to 21 gpm. If by-passes are installed, they can be used in very high flow systems. They are typically used in systems to produce the highest pressure between 1000 and 7300 psi. There are several models that have the ability to increase the ultimate pressure between 20,000 and 60,000 psi.
How do intensifier simplify system design?
There is a low inlet pressure in the flowing system. The actuated pump remains active and the differential piston assembly does its job as instructed. This seems like a complicated configuration. In reality, however, hydraulic boosters are loaded into individual cylinders that can be attached to existing or new wheeled excavators. The compact cylindrical circuit layout recommends the use of linear. Therefore, minimal installation skills are required. In addition, this design is logically extended and therefore should have standard pipe clamps and fittings during the installation phase.
